- 10g F.O.S. approximately.
- Fructo-oligo-saccharide (F.O.S.) selectively supports the growth of beneficial bacteria.
- F.O.S. is a natural fibre that occurs in unprocessed fruits and vegetables.
- F.O.S. encourages peristaltic motion, exerting a positive influence on bowel activity and evacuation.
- F.O.S. is water dispersible and acts as a bulking agent in the bowel.
- F.O.S. can be used as nutritional support in candida and yeast free diets.
Studies show fructo-oligo-saccharides may lead to a metabolic decrease in serum triglycerides (blood fats).
- F.O.S. does not elevate blood sugar nor deplete B vitamins from the diet (as does sugar)
- F.O.S. provides insignificant amounts of calorific value.
Suitable for vegetarians and vegans.
F.O.S. does not encourage the growth of Candida albicans or other yeast organisms.
Contra-indications
Not suitable to be taken in conjunction with drugs that are inhibited by pH lowering agents .
